These year 11 students would definitely not still be in school if Step-up hadn’t worked with them. Not all students fit the academic path and your work made it possible for these students to stay at school.
Romsey Mill's Alternative Education Programme, Step-up, is dynamic, innovative and designed to support young people aged 14-16 who are at risk of exclusion, or are excluded, from mainstream school.
Developed in both PRU and mainstream settings Step-up offers a range of courses and learning experiences to help young people re-engage with education and to increase in confidence, skills and aspiration. Nationally recognised qualifications are embedded in courses, from Arts Award to Sports Leadership and Uniformed Services, giving young people ongoing opportunities to succeed and to begin to realise their potential.
