Volunteer workRomsey Mill volunteers cannot be stereotyped! They come from all walks of life - young, retired, full-time parents, college students, high powered professionals!! This diversity is our biggest asset. People volunteer for many different reasons:
It's our aim to provide training for all those involved. Most pressing current needs...
If you might be able to help please contact us.
Supervising children's play, welcoming parents, running the coffee bar and helping set up and clear away at our Playgroup and Toddler groups.
Aspire, Social Inclusion and Transitions Programmes:
Helping to provide support through groups, trips and activities. Helping in groups to improve skills such as literacy and numeracy and general social skills. Participating in weekly groups for children and young people on the autistic spectrum - joining in with their chosen activities (e.g. team sports, board games, construction toys). Very rewarding and lots of fun!
Serving customers, sorting stock and helping to provide a community atmosphere in our shop in Thoday street.
We currently need people to help sort Monday - Saturday mornings.
Helping to supervise children in our creche while the young parents improve their skills in courses and other activities.
If you like working with 5-11 yr olds, you might like to help with our monthly Friday evening club or summer holiday playscheme.
You may have some IT, clerical or maintenance skills that we could benefit from. Perhaps you could help with fundraising events or you may have some ideas of your own?! However you choose to help, you will always be supported, given help and training where necessary and above all APPRECIATED!!
