  1. Venue hire

Community facilities

Romsey Mill has various community rooms and facilities available for hire at Romsey Mill Centre (the charity's own building, on Hemingford Road, Cambridge) and at Ross Street Community Centre (which Romsey Mill now manages under contract with the Cambridge City Council), just a 2 minute walk from Romsey Mill Centre.

Both centres have community facilities that are well equipped to suit the needs of the many groups and individuals that hire and use our buildings from week to week.

We are able to offer multiple meeting rooms, which are ideal for tutoring, counselling and mediation, as well as family visitation bookings at very competitive prices. We also have large halls available to rent which prove to be excellent settings for birthday parties and celebratory events as well as sports hall facilities which are regularly hired out for local exercise and sport clubs.

We strive to be community focused and this reflects largely in our pricing for venue hire. We pride ourselves in being able to offer our rooms at reasonable rates including separate rates for local residents, non-profit organisations, classes, and commercial business.  We also have set rates for celebration packages to suit all family celebration requirements.  Please note when you are making a booking, proof of address may be required for the local resident rate.

If you would like to discuss rates or availability further, please contact our Admin team on [email protected] or ring 01223 213162.

All rooms except the Creative Arts room and the studio at Romsey Mill are wheelchair accessible as we have a lift to the first floor and no steps on the ground floor. There are easy access toilets on the ground floor at both buildings, and several kitchen areas which can be accessed and used by hirers.
