Vacancy - Youth Development Worker (Northstowe)

We have an exciting opportunity to pioneer and develop youth work in Northstowe, a new community 8 miles northwest of the city of Cambridge. This is a new post for Romsey Mill, to support ‘hard to reach’ and ‘at risk’ young people (aged 10-21) in Northstowe, with an emphasis on face-to-face community youth work.

Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge 2023

We are looking for people to join our team to walk the three peaks of the Yorkshire Dales and raise sponsorship to help fund the vital work of Romsey Mill. The 25-mile trek, which involves climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in less than 12 hours is on Saturday 20th May 2023

Bridge The Gap Charity Walk 2022

Bridge The Gap is an annual charity walk around the beautiful Colleges of the University of Cambridge, in partnership with Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. This family-friendly walk provides access to some of the hidden treasures and sights of Cambridge, whilst raising funds for two well-loved local charities.
Pre-school

Our Early Years programme includes two pre-school locations for 2 - 4 year olds.
Young parents

The Young Parents Programme is a leading provider offering support and friendship for teenage and young people in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. The support includes home visits, individual support, antenatal classes tailored for young parents, peer support and child development, education and further training.

Romsey Mill Charity Golf Day 2022

Are you a golf fanatic, or simply want to enjoy a fun day out? Make sure not to miss out on our Golf Day at the prestigious Cambridge Country Club. Ticket is complete with meal, prizes and a raffle. Come along with your friends and raise funds for our work with disadvantaged young people and families!
Community facilities

Romsey Mill has various community rooms and facilities available for hire at Romsey Mill Centre (the charity's own building) and at Ross Street Community Centre.
Training

We are passionate about empowering passionate people to provide good quality youth work. We deliver accredited training in Level 2 and Level 3 Youth Work Practice, which is suitable for current and future youth workers to develop new skills and gain qualifications.
