ASPIRE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER

 

You will develop and deliver provision with children and young people (aged 9-19) who have high functioning Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASCs) across Cambridge city and the surrounding area supporting them to overcome challenge, and develop social skills and emotional wellbeing. You will work as part of a team of youth workers and volunteers to deliver weekly social groups, shared interest groups, one-to-one work, outreach through schools, school based intervention and transfer support, trips and residential experiences that enable children and young people who are on the autistic spectrum to overcome challenge and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being. 

 

2 year fixed term with probable extension

22.5 hrs p/w

Salary range:  £19,819-£21,693 pro-rata

LEAD YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER – TRUMPINGTON

 

You will pioneer, develop and deliver youth work provision in Trumpington - an area experiencing rapid growth in the south of Cambridge City - supporting young people (aged 10-21) to overcome challenge, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them. You will develop and coordinate a team of youth workers and volunteers to deliver detached sessions, one-to-one work, young-people-led group activities, open access youth clubs, school based early intervention and transfer support, alternative education work and residential experiences that enable young people to overcome disadvantage, and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being.   

 

2 year fixed term with probable extension

37.5 hrs p/w

Salary range:  £22,401 - £24,657

FINANCAL CONTROLLER

Part time working: minimum of 10 hours and up to 15 hours

Salary Range: £33,136 to £37,107 (pro-rata based on full time 37.5 hpw)

We want to appoint a qualified, skilled, and dedicated Financial Controller to oversee, implement and develop the effective operation of all Romsey Mill’s financial processes, transactions, accounting systems and reporting.  This is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity for an enthusiastic person to become a key team member in the operations and development of Romsey Mill, making great difference for good with vulnerable young people, children and families.

You will work collaboratively with Romsey Mill’s CEO, Leadership & Management Team and Trustees. As our Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing general bookkeeping and implementation of financial processes using our Sage accounting and payroll software packages, maintaining up-to-date and properly organised accounts.
  • Managing other finance team members with responsibility for the day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Maintaining and updating the documented system of accounting policies and procedures of Romsey Mill Trust and any related interests.
  • Supporting the operations, with project and fund reporting, annual budgeting and other business performance assistance.
  • Efficient quarter-end procedures and finance/management reporting to CEO and Trustees.
  • Preparation of the published annual financial statements.

Romsey Mill Pre-School Assistant

18hrs per week

(38 weeks term time only)

We want to appoint an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to be responsible for Romsey Mill’s day-to-day financial processes, transactions, and accounting systems.  This is a flexible opportunity for an enthusiastic person to become a team member within the operations of a creative and compassionate charitable organisation, making great difference for good with vulnerable young people, children and families.

You will be managed by our Financial Controller and work collaboratively with other members of Romsey Mill’s team. As our Bookkeeper you will be responsible day-to-day for: 

 

  • General bookkeeping and implementation of financial processes using our Sage accounting and payroll software packages, producing and maintaining up-to-date and properly organised accounts to ensure timely and accurate collection of income; processing of salaries and expenses; prompt and accurate payment of suppliers.
  • Following the accounting policies and procedures for Romsey Mill Trust and any related interests.
  • Supporting the operations by assisting with project and fund reporting and annual budgeting.
  • Efficient month-end procedures.
