Our Work
Romsey Mill creates opportunities with young people, children and families across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Our work is long term, relational and needs-led: we walk alongside people, at their pace, for as long as it takes.
It stretches from a Pre-School for two to four year olds through to youth development with young people up to the age of 21, alongside training for youth workers and two social enterprises.
Romsey Mill Pre-School
Our Early Years programme is based at our Pre-School setting in Romsey Mill Centre and caters for two to four year olds. The Pre-School pages cover the setting itself, fees and funding, and how to apply.
Young Parents
The Young Parents Programme is a leading provider of support and friendship for teenage and young parents in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. Support includes home visits, one-to-one help, antenatal classes tailored for young parents, peer support, and routes into education and further training. More about Young Parents.
Autistic Young People
Aspire delivers youth clubs and support, in and around Cambridge, for autistic children and young people in mainstream education, from Year 5 upwards. Visit the Aspire pages.
Youth Development
Our Youth Development Team engages with young people aged 10 to 21 across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, helping them live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them. Meet the Youth Development Team.
Training
We are passionate about equipping people to provide good quality youth work, including training for the Level 2 Award in Youth Work Principles. See our current training.
Social Enterprises
Cara Coffee in Great Shelford, run in partnership with Great Shelford Free Church, and the Romsey Mill Charity Shop at 176 Mill Road both raise money for our work. Every coffee and every purchase helps. More about our Social Enterprises.
Last year our youth workers spent 7,158 hours working face to face with young people. See the difference this makes.
