Volunteer

There are lots of opportunities to volunteer with Romsey Mill. 

We rely on over 140 volunteers, each year, to help us deliver our work, run our social enterprises, organise fundraising activities, and support the work charity, behind the scenes.

    This is an exceptional opportunity to join Romsey Mill’s Operations & Admin team. Based at Romsey Mill Centre, to support the operational activities of Romsey Mill Centre and Romsey Mill Charity Shop, the ideal candidate will be able to grow and establish effective working relationships with a range of people.

    Youth Development Team

    Romsey Mill's Youth Development Team engages with young people (aged 10 - 21 years) across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, to help them live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them.

  • Cara Coffee

    Cara Coffee

    Cara Coffee is a social enterprise run through a partnership with Great Shelford Free Church to support the work of Romsey Mill. The coffee shop on 29 High Street, Great Shelford, is run by amazing volunteers, and is a community hub serving delicious ethically sourced coffee, drinks and food.

    Young parents

    The Young Parents Programme is a leading provider offering support and friendship for teenage and young people in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. The support includes home visits, individual support, antenatal classes tailored for young parents, peer support and child development, education and further training.

    Our Early Years programme includes two pre-school locations for 2 - 4 year olds.

  • Community facilities

    Romsey Mill has various community rooms and facilities available for hire at Romsey Mill Centre (the charity's own building) and at Ross Street Community Centre.

    We are looking to recruit someone to be part of our Young Parents Programme team, who will provide intensive personal, social, educational and parenting support to young fathers, equipping them and their children for positive futures.

    We are passionate about empowering passionate people to provide good quality youth work. We deliver accredited training in Level 2 and Level 3 Youth Work Practice, which is suitable for current and future youth workers to develop new skills and gain qualifications.
