Hannah is one of the volunteers of Cara Coffee in Great Shelford, the social enterprise that Romsey Mill has in partnership with Great Shelford Free Church.

Hannah wanted to volunteer to offer something to the community and become more involved in village life.

Hannah says:

I love meeting new people and my favourite thing is to put a smile on people’s faces.

I have met so many different people, whilst volunteering, which has helped increase my confidence.

I am quite a shy person naturally, but I find engaging with customers something that I enjoy more and more. Volunteering has definitely been good for my mental health and has helped me gain the confidence to apply for a part-time paid job.

One of my favourite things is making nice coffees using the espresso machine…and taking dog treats out to our furry friends of course!”
